Getting Started in The Walking Dead: Empires

In The Walking Dead: Empires, survival depends on resources. Efficient gathering not only strengthens characters but also builds resilient in-game communities.

1) Resource Types 

Resources come in various types, each serving a unique purpose. The initial five resources players will need to collect are logs (for wood), rocks (for stone), metal sheet, fabric, and mushrooms.

These tasks are part of the early missions found in the left-side MISSIONS tab. As players advance in the game, they will transform these resources into other useful items. Players should get to know what each resource is good for so they can prioritize gathering based on what they need most.

2) Tools 

Equipping the right tools is crucial for efficient resource gathering. Players must ready their tools before going for a run and upgrade tools to enhance efficiency, allowing them to gather more resources with less effort. Each tool has its use, such as the crude axe used to harvest wood. Read each tool’s description to learn more about its utility.

3) Locations

Resource-rich spots are found throughout the map as players navigate. Stones can be picked up from rocks on the ground, and wood can be obtained from branches or saplings. The collection of these resources allows for the faster crafting of tools that aid in the gathering of more complex resources from various sources. The map should be explored to identify abundant resources, and gathering trips should be planned accordingly.

As players progress through the game, additional sources can be discovered.

4) Gathering Tips

Efficiency is key when gathering resources. Resource conservation should be practiced to prevent depletion in specific areas. Players should learn when and where resources replenish to establish effective gathering routines.

Managing resources wisely is essential for survival. Players might find their Inventory full as they gather resources. Inventory preparation should be ensured before going out for a run to gather resources.
