Purpose

This article provides an overview of the upgrading of a character in The Walking Dead: Empires.

The Upgrades menu can be accessed by clicking it in the top right of the screen or using the keyboard shortcut U.

The Skill Tree allows players to upgrade their character in different ways. Some upgrades can increase a character's energy regeneration, while others can increase damage towards specific enemies such as walkers. Players can gain more levels in this section by increasing their character's level. 

The Talents section lets players increase the items they can create or equip. If a ranged weapon requires level 4, players must have a talent level of 4. Players can gain more levels in this section by increasing their character's level.

The Masteries section shows the level of mastery a player's character has in certain crafting or actions. The higher the mastery, the better the upgrade. This can be leveled up by repeating certain actions. Tool crafting mastery, for example, can be leveled up by crating more tools. The more tools a player crafts, the higher their mastery can become.
