Summary
The Gala Node software presents a menu similar to the one shown below. This menu has a variety of useful tools node operators can use to control their Gala Node.
Node Status
The Node status section shows the current status of the Gala Node software. This example shows that the Gala Node is running without issues.
Service Status
This shows the connection status of the Gala Node software to the node network. This example shows the Gala Node software is connecting to the network with no issues.
Workload Status
This section shows the status of available workloads on the machine.
Software Controls
These node controls allow a user to:
Run - Starts the Gala Node software and its previously selected workloads.
Stop - Stops the Gala Node software and its active workloads.
Restart - Restart the Gala Node software.
Quit - Stops and quits out of the Gala Node software. This completely turns off the Gala Node software, unlike the other workloads that pause workloads.
Set API Key
The set API Key section will bring up a prompt allowing a user to enter an API key. This API key is needed for running and getting credit for operating a node for a user’s account.
Rename Node
Users can rename their Gala Node to have a more friendly name for their machine.
This name can be found in the Gala Node Dashboard and is the identifier for this computer.
Select Workloads
This section allows a user to select what active workload they want to run on their machine.
Network
Shows the Gala Node software's network settings. This setting can usually be left at default.
Registry
Shows disk usage and other statuses of the Gala Node software. This setting can usually be left at default.
Open Dashboard
Open Dashboard takes a user directly to their Gala Node dashboard in a web browser.
Show Logs
This selection shows the Gala Node Software's logs that can be used for troubleshooting problems or issues with the software.
Update to vX.X.X
This option will appear when a new version of the Gala Node software is released.
