Summary
As the Gala Games and Entertainment ecosystem expands, the workload of Founder's Nodes alone is insufficient to support the network. This is where game-specific nodes come into play. Game-specific nodes are designed to give players and supporters an exclusive and unique way to support specific games within the Gala Games and Entertainment ecosystem for additional rewards.
Game Nodes, like Founder's Node licenses, are not an investment. The purpose of Game Nodes is to perform specific tasks to help games function, such as matchmaking. This can help improve ping and decrease latency for a player by providing servers that are generally physically closer to a user. This model helps smaller studios build up their infrastructure since they will not need to pay the upfront cost of renting out large server space to run their games. Each game node may differ depending on a game's need, but those who support a game's network will be rewarded. Spider Tank node operators earn the game's SILK cryptocurrency for supporting the network.
A game node license can be run on the same machine as other Gala Nodes but may require additional hardware requirements that scale based on how many workloads a single machine manages.
