How to Bridge a Token from GalaChain to Ethereum on GalaConnect

Step 1: Access GalaConnect

  1. Open your web browser and go to GalaConnect.
  2. Click "Connect Wallet" and select your GalaChain-compatible wallet (e.g. MetaMask).
     
  3. Approve the connection request to proceed.
  4. Once connected, click on Switch to Gala Account.

Step 2: Select the Bridge Option

  1. Navigate to the Bridge section.
  2. Set GalaChain as the source chain and Ethereum as the destination chain.
  3. Select the token you want to bridge from the dropdown list.
  4. Enter the amount you wish to transfer.
  5. Ensure you have enough GALA or the required token to cover transaction fees.
  6. Make sure to click My Wallet and double check that wallet address.
  7. Click "Bridge" to start the transfer process.


 

Step 3: Approve and Confirm the Transaction

  1. Enter your Gala Transfercode to proceed.
  2. "Approve" to authorize the transaction.
  3. Confirm the transaction in your GalaChain wallet.

Step 4: Wait for Confirmation

  1. The bridging process may take a few minutes.
  2. You can track progress in the Transaction History section of GalaConnect.
  3. Once completed, your tokens will be available in your Ethereum wallet.

Troubleshooting & Tips

  • Ensure your wallet is connected to GalaChain when initiating the transfer and Ethereum when claiming the tokens.
  • Check Etherscan or GalaConnect’s transaction history if the process takes longer than expected.
  • Make sure you have enough ETH for gas fees when claiming the bridged tokens on Ethereum.
