Summary
When a user runs the Gala Node software on their computer, they run two software types simultaneously.
The first software is the Gala Node software. It allows users to run their nodes without installing each node separately. The software also ensures that the users' nodes can communicate with the network appropriately and are up to date.
The second software is a node's workload. These workloads can be looked at as separate programs running different tasks within the user's Gala Node software.
The Gala Node software usually requires user intervention to update. Each version can contain new feature updates or bug fixes that require a user to update manually. With the workload software, this update is done automatically for a user and requires no action on their part.
The Gala Node software can only operate a single instance. However, users have the flexibility to run multiple different workloads on the same machine.
It's important to note that the Gala Node Workloads may have additional requirements than the Gala Node software as some workloads like the Last Expedition require more resources to operate properly. To learn more, please visit Gala Node Software Requirements.
