This article explains how to import a word phrase into the Coinbase Wallet.

This tutorial assumes the user has a 12-word recovery or backup phrase and that the Coinbase Wallet extension has already been installed.

Procedure

Note: The user assumes all risk and responsibility for using this third-party wallet and any other similar wallet.

1) Open the Coinbase Wallet and click I already have a wallet. 

2) Select Enter recovery phrase.

3) Enter the 12-word recovery phrase for the desired wallet. Make sure to have spacing between each individual word and click Import wallet when completed.

4) Enter the desired username for the wallet. With the creation of a Coinbase Wallet username, users will be able to send funds to other Coinbase Wallet users by username instead of the need for a wallet address. Click Submit to continue.

Agree to the terms and privacy policy and then click submit.

6) The wallet setup is complete and ready to be used.

Users can finish the optional steps of completing their profile by adding a bio, profile picture, and more to their account.
