Summary
The Gala Workload point system allows operators to earn partial points, creating a more accurate reward structure based on actual operation time.
The formula for how points are calculated in a workload is:
Points = (Seconds Online ÷ 3600) x (X ÷ 24)
X = The total number number of points a workload can generate in a day.
Seconds Online = How many seconds in the day a user's workload was seen as online.
Current list of Workloads with their maximum number of points for 24 hours.
Workload Name | Maximum X Value |
Founder's Node | 4 |
Common Ground World Node | 1 |
For example, a user is running a Founder's Node workload. Based on its Distribution, a maximum of 4 points can be earned total for a user running 24 hours. In this example, the user ran their workload for only 12 hours. Based on this, the equation would be:
Points = (43200 ÷ 3600) x (4 ÷ 24)
Points = 2
For a quick reference, below shows how many seconds per amount of hour(s).
Hour(s) | Seconds |
1 | 3600 |
6 | 21600 |
12 | 43200 |
24 | 86400 |
This would mean that for the user running their Founder's Node for only 12 hours, they would've earned 2 points in the Distribution.
