Summary
Users who contribute to the Gala Film Ecosystem are rewarded in POPCORN. This enables early network supporters to earn rewards, which will be converted to a $FILM token when released.
Currently, there are various ways to earn POPCORN:

Run a Theater Node or Founders Node
Nodes must meet the required uptime to qualify for distribution. -
Get Popcorn Buckets
Users can get buckets by opening a Film Mystery Box. -
Hold Moments
Users can collect Moments by opening Moment Packs. -
Collect Scenes to boost rewards
Users can complete a scene by gathering Moments. - Become a Gala Film Creator or Publisher
During the Token Generation Event, all existing POPCORN will be converted to $FILM tokens at a 1:10 ratio, with additional bonuses for larger POPCORN holdings. After the launch of the $FILM token, POPCORN will no longer be distributed and will cease to exist once all users have exchanged their POPCORN for $FILM.
