Purpose
Users who run the Gala node software with a valid workload license can earn daily rewards from the Distribution. Each workload has different requirements for earning rewards in its corresponding Distribution. Understanding how this process works and its purpose is crucial for the growth and sustainability of the Gala Games and Entertainment ecosystem.

Summary
To qualify for the daily Distribution, users must run the Gala Node software with a valid Node license and enable the corresponding workload, such as Founders Node, Music Node, or other supported nodes. The node must run continuously for a specified duration on a single machine, which may differ based on the node type. Information regarding this requirement can be found in this article: Workload Information For Node Licenses
Users can find their Distribution rewards in their Inventory, represented as GalaChain Allowance. An allowance refers to the tokens that a wallet is entitled to. Until the allowances are minted, these rewards are not recorded on the blockchain. The “mint-on-demand” model strengthens the network's decentralization by eliminating reliance on a single entity to cover gas fees for networks like Ethereum or GalaChain.
The distribution system for each node type may vary, with some using a points-based system and others having different reward mechanisms. These points are tallied up at the end of the day and used to calculate the numbers for the Daily Distribution. This change aims to incentivize workload node operators to run their nodes continuously and support the network's decentralization.
Distribution generally happens around 02:00 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), although the exact time may vary slightly for different node types.
